Jacob snorted. "Why would I want to speak plainly?" He asked her, anyone who didn't understand probably wasn't worth his time in the first place. "Believe what you like, but you'd fit right in." He assured her, she was too good at what she did for him to believe for a second that she didn't understand the things that went over the heads of most Gryffindors.
He couldn't help the slight chuckle when Marlene told him that the new brother was even moodier than Alastor had been. "Now that would be something to see - I didn't realize it was possible."
"Both Regulus and Severus are traitors, like myself. I hardly think any of us count." He told her simply. He knew what he was, and while he might still hold himself to a higher standard than most people. "I'm not sure you could say that either one of them actually has friends in any case." It was more that they tolerated the people around them, but that didn't really mean friends.
