Small talk? Harry wasn't sure he had the same definition of that as she did, but he did nod. It seemed and easy way to get out of a conversation he did not want to have.
Taking his glass he raised it, watching her movements before putting his lips to the glass. Not that he drank anything, for some reason he got the feeling drinking was unwise in Eileens company. He couldn't even pin point the feeling. Still he kept to pretending to take a sip, wiping his lip afterwards. He was a bit more interested by her pregnancy, however. Was that Severus? Or had he had siblings?
"That was kind of you to say," he said, though he'd seen a bit of Severus' life as a child. It was very far from his own children's. "May I ask," he asked. "And please tell me if this is too intrusive, but is that Severus you're carrying?" he asked. "Or did he have siblings?"
This child, Severus or not, would grow up to attend school with his grandchildren and his godson. It was an odd thought.
