Re: Harry and Remus
"It's worth quite a bit, actually. I certainly wish it. Ted's the only thing from the life of that future self that I don't regret or want to change." Remus grinned. "And, no, your teenaged seld doesn't count as part of the regrets. You're part of the life I made for myself, even if you're a few decades older than I would have expected to meet eight months ago." He loved that Ted felt able to call him Dad despite the strangeness of their circumstances. His only wish was that he'd been there to earn it a little more. But, he supposed that's what the second chance was for, to find a way to earn it now, to find some piece of the family they'd missed out on being before.
With one or two added extras in the mix.
Smiling, Remus nodded. "There wouldn't have been anyone else I'd have trusted. And, now I think we've talked serious business long enough," he added with a laugh. "This is supposed to be a party -- a party where we have to wear uncomfortable clothes -- or strange clothes, at least -- and converse with people we don't really know or like. But, a party, nonetheless."
