"Hardly a better man, Harry." Remus frowned at the thought. "And the fact you wouldn't say any of this to anyone else, proves that. It proves you're the better person in thinking of Ted first and your own disagreement with his grandmother second."
Remus smiled sadly. He understood what Harry was saying, but he couldn't help disagreeing. "I appreciate that. But, biology and reality are two different things. In all the ways that mattered to a boy growing up, you were his father more than I'll ever be able to be simply because I wasn't there. It is what it is," he ended with a shrug. "My future self had the good sense to choose the best person for a godfather. I can be content knowing I did that much for him, I think."
