Re: Patrick/Cassandra
"I admit, I don't understand wanting to make that break." That world was the world of her family. She would lose her family along with her world and those benefits, which was completely unacceptable. One's family was one's identity, like it or not, rebel against it or not. Where you came from mattered. "But, it's your life." She shrugged with a little smile.
"Oh, hush," she laughed lightly. "Of course I'm concerned when the prettiest boy in our year does something dangerous." Cassandra teased, but then, one rarely showed true concern in the world they came from. That wasn't for public consumption.
"Now that is an idea," she said thoughtfully. "I'm sure Grand-mere wouldn't mind giving me some pointers the next time I visit," she added with a smirk. "But, this is a party and I'm sure we'd both be much happier finding a couple of these young men to dance with us. Although, I'll expect you to save a dance for me later. I may be a girl, but I'll still look good on your arm for one dance."
