Re: Marlene/Remus
The hug took him by surprise and Remus just shook his head good naturedly when she stepped back again. "I'll forgive you this time," he said with a chuckle, not mentioning how much rarer it was than she thought after the years he'd spent wandering alone, "because you're right. He's everything I never thought I could deserve and he refuses to hear I don't deserve it now. I might even start to believe him some day." He smiled softly when she said they were alike. "I'd like to think we share some things in common."
Remus couldn't help laughing softly as she described herself as the older sister. It was too close to his own words to Regulus not long ago. "I know what you were trying to do, Marlene, and I appreciate it. The Order, it just doesn't mean the same things to all of us, that's all." He smiled. "The friendships are real enough, even with a meddling big sister hanging about."
The smile turned into a smirk. "I might be planning something for someone's birthday in a few weeks. Early yet, but I'll let you know if there's anything I need." Impulsively, he reached out to squeeze her upper arm gently. "BI should let you get back to this party. Something tells me you'll enjoy mingling much more than I shall."
