Re: Theo and Stephen
Theo raised an eyebrow. "Never underestimate the power such leverage can offer. Do you think our family would have the position it does if it weren't for such information?" he asked, pondering if he ought to tell his son that his proposal had gone through not solely based on his accomplishment but also because a subtle hint to the right member of the board to drop his resistance. In the end, he decided it was best not mentioned. He doubted Stephen would appreciate it.
He smiled. "I can certainly not deny that it would be a spectacular accomplishment," he agreed with a chuckle. "Would that be St Nott's then," he teased, though it was definitely not an unpleasant thought.
"Then talk to someone who thinks she already has her prospective husband chosen," he said. "That ought to get her to speak to you properly." And it was not a complete coincidence that he and Pansy had had such an easy time becoming friends. Neither had felt the need to impress the other, things had just progressed from there.
