"You're also not looking for them, are you? Because you don't really want to be in that world." Shrugging one shoulder, Cassandra smiled. "I'd have to agree, you seem to do very well. Better than some who've broken with it. As I do with mine."
And it was her choice, too. It might be a choice to live with the imbalance, but she'd made the choice all the same.
"Well, I hope you find that way. For your sake as well. If it's unsafe for them, it can't be much safer for you." Cassandra might have her own set of prejudices. But, she wasn't cruel by nature.
"It's not a different world, though, and I don't have parents like yours. Maybe it's not fair. At least this way, I get to do what I do." She smiled innocently. "And if something goes wrong, it can't be my fault, now can it?"
