Re: Patrick/Cassandra
"There are good things about that world," she replied, just as seriously. The world had it's faults, but there was a purpose and perks to balance it out. Everything in life was a compromise. "You may be nuts." Her lips quirked up in a teasing smirk. "But, you're the one that has to live with your choice."
Patrick just seemed to manage it better than someone like, say, Malfoy.
"That's good." Cassandra nodded, thinking how she kept hearing that more and more these days -- Death Eaters disrupting the order in their world. She had a fleeting moment when she wondered if Dylan had been involved with any of that. But, she pushed it out of her head almost as soon as she thought it. "At least they've only slowed, not stopped your work."
She didn't share his passion for the cause, but she could appreciate anyone following their dream. It's what she was trying to do with her stables and the horses that brought another smile to her face when he asked after them. "Oh, I just ride them, like a proper lady. I have absolutely no idea about any beginning preparations for this year's fall competition event. Or how the spring foals are absolutely adorable now that they're sprinting around on their own."
