"Only a couple," Alastor clarified with a chuckle. "But, yes, all of that may be the reason Potter agreed to my suggestion." They weren't Alastor's reasons for naming her, of course. Oh, they were part of it. But, Alastor knew she'd do a damn good job, even if she hadn't been taking up his slack.
"You really don't need me here at all, do you?" He laughed, even as he realised with a pang it was true. She had everything under control, really, and he wasn't nearly as necessary to the Division as it was to him. "Well, while you're making plans, let me know who you want as a second-in-command so I can pass the name to Potter. He only asks it be someone not a returnee. Better for morale."
Clearly she was a lot more ready for this than he was.
