Snape peered at the filament of memory as if assessing its texture and shine, gaze tracking its progress as it drifted down into the pensieve's bowl.
"No doubt; many things are odd the first time. Still, that seems perfectly adequate, especially for a first attempt." He stood and leaned over the basin, bracing his weight with his hands on the desk.
"The viewing process is very straightforward: simply immerse your head. Viewings can of course be conducted simultaneously; that is why pensieves are so large."
A smirk. "Allow me to demonstrate." So saying, he lowered his face into the bowl.
