"You're right about that, Bird," he said, trying out the new nickname he'd thought up for her last night. "And I love that you don't want to go to Madame Puddifoot's. It's every bloke's worst nightmare, which means I'm the luckiest guy in school."
He shrugged. "I'm good, and Rosie always has extras if I need some," he said, rather pleased they wouldn't need to go to a stationery shop. It meant there would be more time for the good things. Like finding a private place to snog his girlfriend.
"I'm wearing her down, though with the rate my grades are going I won't need to. The hardest thing is going to be waiting until they send out the test scores." He paused, and kissed her briefly. "Of course, we can start working on that this summer if you want. Though if you make a team I won't go easy on you just because you're my girlfriend."
