"I plan to. We've done this one too many times, and you-" She sighed. "I wish I could say nothing of the sort would never happen. I really had no idea that he'd be there. I tried to leave as soon as I could. I might have to change the way I do my investigations, maybe take you alone," she said with a smile.
"But that would mean staying away from me. Do you really want that?" she asked, lowering her head until she was resting her cheek on his shoulder, nuzzling his neck. "If you want to go back to work, then it's what we'll do. I just want you happy, love. I know this is been hard on you, and I hated that there was nothing I could do to make it better."
