Re: After the Meeting - Harry and Moody
Alastor laughed. "Or, you could look at it as gaining a partner Division Head who knows exactly how the two Divisions should cooperate together and can hit the ground running."
When Potter brought up the book, Alastor pursed his lips and nodded briskly. He was beginning to see that, more than anything, if they were going to see trouble from Potter over the new organisation, it was going to be from the other man's feelings of a lack of trust. "The higher priority was getting it out of the hospital and into Dumbledore's hands, away from Voldemort's. Time was more important than information and the second priority was making sure she was protected while I took care of the first priority. Sir, none of this was any reflection of trust or a lack thereof. As of this moment, I can honestly tell you there has been no discussion of cutting you out or changing your level of involvement in this fight. Time, in this instance, was the enemy and subduing that enemy more important than a full briefing in meeting our ultimate goal of protecting the innocents in that hospital against possible reprisals.
"Again, it was not a reflection of any lack of trust in you, Sir."
Alastor smirked, however, as Potter hit the nail on the head. "It makes the most sense, yes. She is already serving as my second-in-command for the Unit." Not to mention doing a lot of the paperwork and holding the unit together in his absence while caring for Marlene.
