Re: After the Meeting - Harry and Moody
"So in other words you want me to hate this new order of things," he said. "Seeing how otherwise I'd still have my most competent Auror." He smiled, though there was something else he needed to clear.
"When McKinnon was hurt, she took something from Voldemort. Yet neither one of you even mentioned that fact to me. Now I certainly understand why it couldn't be division property, but you know this would not be the first time I've kept things from the division when it's been necessary." He paused. "I know I'm not leading the Order, in spite of what people in there argued, I don't want to help lead the Order either. I have quite enough on my plate as it is. I am however used to being informed of things," he said. "Maybe I'm spoiled, but I still hope you'll find it in you to trust me enough to share information with me in the future. I can be trusted, and you should know that."
He smiled. "I'm guessing Vance would be your choice?" he asked, looking at him. It was a risky choice, but hell he'd done those a lot since taking over. He did what was best for the division, and she was certainly good. She was the one preparing the case against Lily, and he hadn't even needed to tell her not to take her relation to him into account, she had in no uncertain terms told him she would not and if he thought she would he'd better get someone else. He liked people with that kind of guts, and she was handling things well at the moment, with Moody distracted by McKinnon's condition.
