Re: After the Meeting - Dom and Dylan
It was a valid question because Dom wanted to know the answer to it, but that wasn't exactly the sort of thing she could say to him. "I think Craig is far more perceptive than you give him credit for, Dylan." She said instead, pressing her lips together for a moment as she gathered herself together.
She shook her head again. "You don't get to decide that." She told him. "Craig is very nice, and I like spending time with him, but I'm the only one who can decide who is good for me, after that it's just up to whoever that person may be to accept or not." There was so much more she wanted to say to him, to tell him that he was still that person, and no amount of snogging Craig or spending the night with him would change that.
It was incredibly selfish the way her heart suddenly leaped at the thought of Dylan actually being her friend again, she could never do that to Craig - and as far as she knew they were both still happy with whatever sort of arrangment they had for the moment - she doubted very much the sort of comfort she sought from Craig would have been a very good foundation for a relationship. "We're not dating, not right now."
