Re: After the Meeting - Marlene and Remus
"Yeah, but sometimes you can have fun without learning anything. That's really good too," she said, before snorting. "Heresy, my dear boy," she said, imitating Dumbledore's inflection even if she couldn't get the tone right. "Sirius doesn't really have good taste, love, and neither does Peter. Regulus, very classic style. James, modern, but from the little I've learnt about today's fashion, bloody expensive. James Sr. is pretty good too. So now you know who should be encouraged to give you clothes and who shouldn't. And of course me."
Marlene understood what he was saying even if she wished that he could get what he wanted without the pain. "It's not the time we all need, it's the friends, the family." She looked around. "This family, even if you don't agree. No matter what people have been saying, this can bring us all closer. We all have someone we want to support and to do so, we need to support the other two. That applies to Severus and Alastor as much as James."
She shrugged. "I tried, besides I think that his attention is elsewhere." She looked at him for a moment. "Do you know those senses of yours that tell you more than you should know? I don't have any of that, but I have my instinct. I've learnt to rely on it. I'm also very suspicious or I wouldn't be an Auror." She reached over and squeezed Remus' hand. "You're good, not that good, but I will drop it for now. However, should they not find a cure, I expect you to tell me the truth. Now, go find your friends. You don't have to be stuck with me asking too many questions."
