Re: After the Meeting - Marlene and Remus
"I'm not arguing that, Remus, but they are the exception. If they weren't, we would be fighting a lot more Dark wizards. Also some of those teenagers were driven by people a lot more powerful than them," she said, and then smiled. "Your simple has changed from our past. That's a hand made robe that cost a month's salary, Auror's salary. It's not a precise figure since I don't know current prices for men's robe, but I doubt I'm that far off."
Marlene looked down at Remus' hand when he touched her. "Wow, I really must look pitiful if you're touching me voluntarily," she said, chuckling. "But I don't think he knew what he was experiencing. It's... irrelevant, I suppose. We'll figure it out together. Really those three are rather hopeless when it comes to dealing with emotions."
She shrugged. "I will, if it's what he wants." She sighed. "Don't do that, Remus; don't say things like that. One, you were at one point capable of relationships, because you had a wife. Two, you've had relationships, even if they were just friendships and sometimes those are stronger than the romantic type. Three, statements like that only make suspicious people wonder what you're trying to hide. So if it is true, don't say it, because people will assume you're trying to cover up something, and if it's not true, don't say it, this way people won't think that you're hiding something."
