Re: After the Meeting - Marlene and Remus
"We like to you in Gryffindor," she said, smiling, "even if you have some Ravenclaw in you."
She chuckled. "That doesn't negate that I know more than them, even if at their age, I thought I knew everything. Besides, what they can teach you is hardly academic knowledge." Marlene snorted. "I can't say the same. I've yet to find a teacher with a fashion sense."
She nodded. "I know, Remus. I know all of it, but I've seen that pain in his eyes since I came back to life. He's not the same person I left, and wishing that things were different doesn't help anyone, but I'm stubborn, and we have time. He might never be who he was at thirty-three, but hopefully some of that pain will be gone."
Marlene laughed. "I'm sure you're right. Alastor picks up what he wants pretty quickly and what he doesn't want, never." She raised an eyebrow. "Will I? You're assuming that there is something intrinsically better about monogamy. The only reason I'm doing it, it's because it means something to him, but there's nothing wrong with an open relationship."
