Re: After the Meeting - Harry and Moody
Alastor frowned. "This wasn't some plot to prove how untrustworthy you are. Plenty of people in this organisation would have kept the secret and they weren't told either. For that matter, how much have I not been trusted with before now? Information that could have helped me to do my job when I was given charge of an investigation that could have benefited from my knowing exactly what we were dealing with. I've gotten to do a lot of catching up on events I was present for and not given all the facts on. But that's the way need to know works and I can accept that I wasn't told until I needed to know."
Sighing, he shook his head. "I know what this looks like. But, I would have thought you, who took one look at me when I first arrived and trusted me with the biggest case you had on your plate, could give me the benefit of the doubt that, given the chance, I would do you the courtesy of doing this properly, would give you the notice you needed in plenty of time when I had a timetable myself and this was more than a suggestion made in the early planning stages."
Hell, Dumbledore had said he'd look into getting it done, but this was the first Alastor had even heard about what was being done to set up the Patrol.
