"Laid up in bed wouldn't be a problem if there were no clothes involved," she said, giggling. "Unfortunately, someone would have a fit if I suggested any type of exercise."
Marlene smiled. "You're such a mate. I don't know what I'd do without you." Not that she couldn't find her own brand of excitement if she were well. Oh wait, she couldn't! She's have to find a way around it, but that could wait until later."
She snorted. "Kids are always high strung. They are kids. There's assignments, tests, end of the year, hols, girlfriends, boyfriends. Everything is the end of the world at that age." She grinned. "No, you asked me how I was doing with the excitement. You didn't ask me how I was doing, but I'll answer anyway. I'm... tired, but better. The antidote for the poison has taken away the constant pain, which is a plus, and getting rid of the poison isn't taxing my body as much. Now, it's mostly the cuts, which aren't as bad. They are pretty freaky to watch and painful when they happen, but the rest of the time I'm fine."
