Re: After the Meeting - Marlene and Remus
Remus supposed, as meetings with game changing revelations went, this one hadn't gone too badly. No one had been hexed. And, as he'd suspected from the start, Harry had remained silent, not publicly speaking out against James' leadership no matter what misgivings he might have had. He wanted to grab Prongs and the others and get things settled with keying Regulus into the Map. But, they couldn't leave so soon without causing raised eyebrows.
So, he glanced around the room as people began to mingle. Seeing Moody head for Harry, whose spine Remus could see stiffening into ramrod straightness even from where he stood, Remus decided it would be a good time to have a quiet chat with Marlene and see how she was. She might annoy the hell out of him these days, but they'd been real friends once.
"Hey," he said, smiling and drawing up a chair next to the sofa where she'd been settled in. "How's the heroine of the week doing with all this excitement?"
