Alastor was sitting across the room while she slept, reading the reports he'd picked up on his last trip to the office. When she woke, he was already half-way across the room to join her when she asked, wanting to check and make sure she was as well and comfortable as she could be.
Her opening comment as he settled next to her had one eyebrow raising before she ever finished and he growled softly once she got to the point, jaw setting stubbornly even as he took her hand gently, almost unconsciously. "Not something I want to think about right now, Marly-girl. You'll have plenty of time for that once you've got some strength back."
Of course, he'd prefer not ever having to think about it, but he wasn't willing to be that illogical about things.
