Emmeline did not know the world of trouble she was about to get herself into asking Charlie Weasley of all people about dragons - they might have had plenty to talk about up to this point but Charlie could talk for hours about dragons, especially someone who didn't seem to realize the bad reputation dragons had gotten somewhere along the line. "They can certainly be dangerous, and fiercely protective when they need to be - but when you work with them you get to see beyond just those surface traits that someone who doesn't get the chance to really spend time with dragons would only see."
"That's a matter of debate among dragon keepers." He told her shrugging. "Some think it's about the same understanding you get from a cat or a dog," Which was generally more than the sort of understanding you got from most animals, but Charlie didn't agree. "I think it's somewhere closer to real true understanding. Maybe not of words and things, but of tone and movement, and of course recognition. Which is why it's easier for a keeper who has worked with a particular dragon for quite some time to get the results they want than a new keeper." He grinned, he could always appreciate someone who was interested in dragons.
"No need to apologize really, it's more than my pleasure to talk about dragons for hours and hours." He told her with a small smirk. "You just might be getting more information than you bargained for-" He paused looking down the hallway and he stood up straighter, instead of leaning against the wall the way he had been. "Though it looks like reinforcements are here, so you may have to wait to hear more about dragons."
