It was an effort, but Remus managed to refrain from expressing the wish his own parents would come back. He wouldn't do that to Regulus. "We would deal with it if it happened," he promised instead. "But, let's not borrow trouble with thinking on it tonight." He chuckled softly. "You know when we were students, I always thought Severus and I would have rather a bit in common. Things just never worked out."
He frowned, though, at mention of Marlene. Subtly wasn't the word he would have chosen to describe the way she'd gone on about Regulus that night. "Believe me, my ear drums thank you for that."
Any fleeting irritation at the memories of Marlene ogling his lover vanished at the reminder he was the one who made Regulus happy. "That makes things much easier, then, seeing as I'm happy with you as well," he teased.
"I was just thinking I was over dressed," he laughed, sitting up so that he was straddling Regulus' legs as he unbuttoned the shirt with a deceptive carelessness. "I may need a hand here, bit of help with the trousers."
