Severus stood in the doorway, watching Al bustling with only dozing owlets for company. Al's contentment seemed a tangible thing, as warm and mellow as the lingering rays of the sunset. He crossed the room, enjoying the fact the he no longer had to watch his footing or the trailing hems of his robes.
"Got a moment?" he murmured in dryly teasing tones.
