Harry nodded. "I would not ask you to lie to the court," he said simply. "I know it must seem unreasonable, but I know that my daughter wouldn't lie to me, not like that. When she told me about these memories, she was telling the truth."
He thought about it, leaning forwards on his elbows before turning his head to look back at Snape. "She's very confused. On the one hand she wants to believe she belongs there, that they love her and that she's strong and independent because of them. On the other she loves us, misses us and regrets that she can't be at home."
"She told me last time I spoke to her that the memories made her confused, that she sometimes didn't know which were real and which were fake. Now I think she's more aware of which are which, even if she still have them."
