"Ah, it's jointly owned library then," she said, suspecting more and more that he was referring to his new home with Scorpius. She hadn't been by to visit yet, but she could only imagine that it was filled with enough books to look like a library. But wasn't Scorpius dating one of the Scamanders sons? Oh well, it wasn't any of her business.
She laughed, delighted at the guess as to what had happened. "Yes, though twelve year old Severus was far less fierce than he'd have you believe," she said, smiling fondly. "And Slughorn, of course, didn't really care, as long as we came to his Slug Club meetings. Youngest members at the time." And she'd been one of the only Muggleborns present.
"It sounds as if you have experience with Severus slamming doors in your face, though I didn't realize chocolate was still the answer." She wondered how she'd missed it, if Al and Severus were...friends? Acquaintances. She couldn't quite picture them together. But then, she didn't know this Severus as well as she'd known her Severus.
"I've found that you often enjoy activities you didn't, when you're helping someone you care about. It's all part of coming together, and building a co-habitable life." Her parents, for instance, had been very different people, and yet she couldn't think of a stronger example of marriage.
"That is an excellent way of looking at things," she said, just as the waitress came with their food. She waited until she'd left again, and then reached for her water glass.
