Summary: Albus tells Emm about extra training

Albus was methodically going through the list of things. Memories were being stored in vials for future viewing. He planned all three men to see them before he dies, giving them time to question him about things that weren't clear, and have the memories in the future. He was sitting for new portraits. He was also training the three men in question as well as Remus. He had talked to Marlene as well. It was obvious that she knew, her feelings of regret and sadness too clear for him not to pick up, but he didn't say anything and she never asked for details, but instead they moved on to what she might need to know about Tom and training for her as well. It was time to move to yet another person.

He had the house elf call Emmeline on her day off, and then waited for her in the drawing room. It didn't think long before she came in. "Good afternoon. I was hoping to have a moment of your time.

Emmeline had never failed to come the moment Dumbledore called, and so when the house elf showed up she asked no questions but reported to the drawing room immediately.

"Good afternoon," she echoed, taking a seat. "You can have as many moments as you want, professor," she added. "Is there something you need from me?" she asked, rather curious as to what it would be, as she usually was when Dumbledore called on her.

Albus chuckled at her answer. It wasn't so common in this era, even if it had been more common at hers. "Thank you, but I won't take that much time," he reassured her.

"I'm trying to prepare for what happens after I pass on. History has shown me that things went rather badly, and no one was prepared for the aftermath. I don't want history to repeat itself. I'm taking steps to prepare everyone, and I offered to train some people," he said. "I was wondering if you'd be interested. I know your time is minimal, but I'm sure we can find some time, what do you think?"

Her eyes widened slightly at the mention of his passing on, hoping dearly that it wasn't something that was to happen soon. Instead of protesting however, or asking, she nodded, taking in what he said.

"Of course I'd love to train with you," she said, because that was easy. " It would be a great honour." She looked at him. "I hope your death is nothing you're fearing to come soon," she said.

"One rarely can predict death," he answered with a smile. After all, he didn't now the exact time of his death, and there was always the possibility that Severus could find a cure. "Life is beautiful, because it's unpredictable."

He grinned, happily. "Then, let's get to the garden and let's start. There's plenty you can learn." He stood up and then turned to her. "Since you have so much time available," he added sarcastically, "there's another little project you can help me with. Alastor is creating files on all Death Eaters. Talk to him and help him." Alastor would have plenty of things to do soon enough and she would be good at gathering information with an uncanny eye for details.

Emmeline thought about that. "I never was fond of the unpredictable parts of life," she said. "Though I admit that some unpredictability is necessary to keep it interesting."

Smiling she nodded. "I'd love to help," she said, thinking of the files they had started on Walden and Fenrir at the office. "It will be useful to all of us, especially if those of us with the information dies."

She stood up and smiled, before following him out into the garden for what she was sure would be the most giving lessons of her life.
