"The day murder and killing becomes boring and commonplace in any circumstance is the day I should quit," he countered, the amused smirk only half-true. There were some things a man just should never become jaded about. "Too bad he doesn't seem inclined to make things easy on us and do just that," he huffed. "Make life a lot more simple."
Chuckling, he shook his head. "New wife doesn't seem as easy going as the old one." He smirked. "No, actually, I thought I'd go back through the history and see if I could find points that would make me like it better. I'll be a bloody poor excuse for a leader if I don't have any pride in the team. You're welcome to keep me company if you like. We can sit in bed and I'll prop the book up on my knees while you tell me all the goings on like we used to in the dormitory."
