"Some homicides are more boring in comparison. Not everyone gets killed in a massive attack at a football game, or some other fancy Death Eater attack. There are some random 'I hate my wife and I kill her' murders," she pointed out. "I don't have Voldemort, unfortunately, but I have a made a list of places where he could be hiding things. I'm checking them out slowly. I wish we had the man power to do it all at once, but it's not there, and it's not like he'll be sitting there waiting for us to arrest him anyway."
Marlene frowned, because words and actions didn't seem to match, and she didn't like it when she couldn't read people's motivations, even more so when it was Alastor. Still, she took his hand, and got up. "No, I didn't make any plans. I might just go speak to Dumbledore if you you're busy. Wouldn't want to come between you and your new job," she said, teasing.
