"I hate you," he hissed in Sirius' direction as she left. "I wouldn't have to do this if it weren't for you." Although it wasn't technically true, because he wouldn't have gone involved if it weren't for Remus, but then he'd never be with Remus if it weren't for Sirius, so in the end, it was only fair to blame his brother.
Regulus raised an eyebrow when he saw the dress, which was still scandalous and incredibly bright, but more acceptable that the rag she was wearing before. At least he wouldn't have to worry about exposing her. "If you please, Madam," he said, offering his arm just as the music changed into a traditional waltz, something that would have been heard at his parents' parties.
He watched as Marlene straightened up, perfect posture and familiarity with the dance position and steps, revealing her upbringing. A Gryffindor and a chameleon, as they started to dance, Regulus realised how dangerous that could be. He'd have to keep an eye on her, and not because of her body.
