She rolled her eyes. "You might read the books, and I listened to people talking. They are highly informative, especially some of the workers on the estate. They never paid attention to the children running around."
Marlene waved a hand. "They aren't important, which is why I wasn't thinking of them. Merlin, I really don't like being a tease. I've never been a tease. I've always flirted, but I had every intention of putting out. This is new and weird, and I don't like teases," she said, mirroring his sighing. "I need to adjust to that.
