Marlene left Alastor to brood and hide in the shadow (not that he'd call it that), and continued her socialising. There were so many people to see, men to flirt with. Parties really were amazing.
She grinned when she saw the young man standing around alone.
"You know it's a crime not to be dancing, flirting or groping at one of my parties," she said, teasingly. "Which means you don't want to get too close to Dumbledore since he's probably doing all three." Not that she'd have ever seen him flirt with men, just women, and she knew he had no interest in them. Perhaps it was a generational thing. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
