RP/OWL: Dom and Dylan Who: Dominique Weasley and Dylan Vaisey Where: Forbidden Forest, Hogwarts When: Wednesday 28 April, 2025 into early morning Thursday 29 April, 2025 Rating/Warnings: Summary: It's the full moon
Some small part of her liked that they were able to run in the forest tonight, the wolf liked the new scents and sounds of the forest. Things felt more alive here, she felt more alive here, running through the trees, the ground soft beneath her paws. It was harder one these nights to separate the wolf from who she was, she didn't fight it as much - the potion let her stop fighting as much, and just focus on these feelings, these sensations, that came along with being the wolf.
Though the morning always came, and she didn't have the same amount of freedom she was learning to accept on those nights. And she was sore, aching from the transformation and all she wanted to do was sleep. But life still went on even the days after the full moon, thankfully she could postpone her classes - it helped that it was late in the term, and there were only a few students left who actually needed her help.
She slept most of the morning and into the afternoon, curled up tightly around a pillow, wishing in some distant part of her mind that there was someone there she could curl herself up around while she slept.
It was later in the day, the sun starting on it's evening descent behind a line of trees when Dom woke up and decided she'd better get out of bed if she was actually going to be useful the next day - no matter how much she wanted to continue sleeping. Her shoulders still were a bit sore, and she felt like she could do with a few more hours sleep but she could press on - she had gotten nothing from her family if not her stubbornness. And just as she had since the attack she would press on.
She spent the next few hours taking care of things that she had let slide while sleeping, making some plans for her classes the next day, until it was time for dinner and eventually a time when she could crawl back into bed without feeling like a first year for going to bed so early.
Dom was curled up on the couch, blanket wrapped around her legs while she went over some of her last minute plans and she sighed. She still didn't know what to say to Dylan, but that part of her that had been missing him so much was still there asking for him, especially on a day like this where all she wanted was some comfort.
It was a bad idea, but before she could talk herself out of it Dom had written him a letter. It wasn't some grand thing trying to explain anything, it was simple and straight forward and she hoped he could accept that. She sent it before she let herself change her mind about the whole thing, and pulled a pillow against her chest.
