"Oh that's perfect," Scorpius said. "Yes, you don't like what I say even if it's the truth so you throw me out. I'm your son, one of two, not just some guest. I told you, I don't want anything and haven't asked. I only wanted to talk to my mum for the afternoon, and you have criticized me from the minute I walked in the door. Nothing I do will ever be right with you. Then again, the last time you were actually civil to me, I had just come back from being kidnapped, and the time before, I was dying."
"I will find my own way out, because any conversation with you is a waste of my time. The next time, I will ask Molly Weasley. At least she is capable of pleasant conversation." He was already standing even if he didn't remember doing so.
He walked towards the door. "You know, I am meeting my boyfriend later. He is great, and I am happy. He doesn't make me feel worthless. He is successful. He's a healer, and doing his own research on the side. Let's not forget that he was head boy." He was fairly sure that his happiness didn't really matter, even if he was very proud of Lori. He just really wished that she would see that.
"I should also tell you, when I was staying at the Potters, Al and I raided the kitchen with James and Lily, his grandparents, and then Lori's parents showed up. It was one of the best times I had ever had just doing normal things. I wasn't even disgracing the family." He shrugged, and turned around. "It makes me wonder how much you really like this place, or do you resent having no choices."
He opened the door. "Let's do this again sometime, yeah?" He didn't really plan on coming back.
