James shook his head. "I'm not insulted, but I want to make sure that we all understand each other. This isn't Sirius' decision or mine. It's ours." He squeezed Sirius' leg as he spoke and smiled at him.
"The children will be told the truth minus the identity of the mother. In fact, the less people know the better as far as I'm concerned. The press would never leave you alone if they knew. Since the process is done in the Muggle world, no one would know who we are," he said. "We haven't discuss it, but maybe we should make some kind of procedure in case there is a medical reason why they should find out. I mean, it's a remote possibility, but in that case, I think the health of the children would be more important than keeping a secret. Other than that, no one will have to find out that it's you."
He sighed, because he knew that complete secrecy was impossible, but he hoped that she understood their position. "I get that you'll probably want to talk to someone, but we won't tell anyone, and if you keep the number of people who knows limited, the children will never know."
