Bill sighed. "If I did I'd probably go insane with jealousy," he said softly. "People do, you know," he added, coaxing her to look up at him. "And when someone smells another woman's perfume on her husband? Or a man's on his wife?" he asked. "We might not get the subtleties, but trust me, if I thought I'd smelled a man on your mother I'd definitely take an extra sniff before asking her who it was I was supposed to kill for feeling her up." He smiled a bit softly.
"It's nothing unnatural," he urged. "You just have a better sense of smell than the rest of us. There is nothing strange about this, it doesn't say you're bonded. Just that you really fancy this guy."
"No need to panic just yet. Talk to Patrick about it, find out what this bond is, and then you can figure out if you're bonded or just in love."
