Dom wasn't going to argue with him, she'd know just as well as he did the risks in what they were doing. But she could say that it would be okay, that she'd notice if things started happening, changing, she'd told herself these things and yet she hadn't been able to stop them.
She held herself tightly when Dylan finally did pull away from her and all she could do was nod in response to him, it was too much work trying to hold back the tears that she couldn't do that and tell him good bye too - it would be too much.
She pressed her face against the top of her knees, hearing the sound of him flying away, until she was sure she couldn't hear anything anymore, and only then, only when she was sure he was gone did she let herself cry. She laid down right there on the couch, curled up around herself and cried until she couldn't anymore, and she drifted into a fitful sleep.
