Her heart sank when Dylan got up, and she thought for a horrible second that he was just going to leave. She really needed to work on her acting skills it seemed, but when he got to his feet she couldn't make herself move, ready to hold herself together after he'd disappeared.
But he didn't leave, at least not yet her mind supplied. She opened her mouth to reply, but found she couldn't. She didn't really want to lie to him, and it was one thing to keep a reign on her emotions, to keep things like jealousy to herself but when it was as obvious as this, when he was asking her about it - she wasn't sure she could lie to him.
"I don't - I don't know." She admitted finally, she didn't know what to do here, because saying that she liked it was a sure way to have Dylan leave, and saying that she didn't want it was going to have the same result. She kept her arms wrapped around her legs while she watched him. "Will you sit down, it's making me antsy watching you pace like that." And a small part of her hoped it would help him to stay.
"I don't know what to tell you," She sighed, watching his face. "I thought we were being careful, and that I had a hold on my emotions." But maybe it didn't work like that, maybe you couldn't just will it to not happen, or make it go away if it did, she didn't know.
