"I suppose you never can escape gossip no matter where you go." She shook her head.
"I did." She smiled, she tried not to get her hopes up after she'd read the article, but it was hard not to. "It's amazing." She really hoped that Patrick could actually deliver on the things the article had claimed he was working on. Maybe her life didn't have to be so different than the one she'd always imagined for herself, after all.
"I know it's early to be excited about it, but I can't help it." She admitted, before she went to sit with him, tucking her feet underneath her as she sat beside him, leaning her head against his shoulder when he put his arm around her.
And there was that unfamiliar feeling again, but while Dom sat there she realized it wasn't a feeling, or maybe it was - but it wasn't directly a feeling, it was a scent, something on Dylan. And before she could even tell herself not to, she had turned her face toward him and breathed in the offending scent trying to place it, racking her memory for where it fit.
