Cure for Werewolves?
Mr. Patrick Pucey, co-founder and co-director of the Clinic for Werewolves and former potion master for the Experimental Potion Division, has published a new study that will have a tremendous impact on how we treat and view werewolves.
The study's conclusion claims that the werewolf and the individual are not two separate entities as previously thought, but a blend of the two as the result of a genetic mutation. While most of the study is not within the reach of most laymen, Mr. Pucey has stated that with this new information we will see dramatic changes in the near future. Priority will be given to new pain potions and a potion that could stop the transformation. That would enable female werewolves to have children. Mr. Pucey indicated that a full cure that would eradicate the condition is forthcoming as well.
While there is no cure at the moment, the political and legal ramifications of this study will be felt sooner then we expect.
Potter Heir's New Job
James S. Potter, oldest son of Harry Potter, never fails to surprise. Three short years after joining the Auror Division and only weeks after becoming a fully trained Auror, Mr. Potter has resigned only to be appointed Junior Under Secretary for the Office for Media and Communication.
At only twenty years of age, Mr. Potter is the youngest Under Secretary of our history. When asked if he fears that he might not be equipped to handle such prestigious position, Mr. Potter took a moment to inquire about the reporter's newborn, before answering that he's been dealing with the press for twenty years, which is more than most people. He proceeded to answer questions in a friendly manner, showing his familiarity with the people present at the press conference.
Mr. Potter spent the rest of the day familiarising himself with the staff and some of the lesser known roles of the Office for Media Communication. Tomorrow will mark his first full day on the job.
