Marlene nodded. "Yes, you did say that, which is still not an answer. Half in love when we were sixteen doesn't mean that you are in love now. I've asked the question so many bloody times, and you can't give me a straight answer, and considering that it takes forever to get you to elaborate an answer, the fact that you can't give me a yes or no can only lead me to one conclusion: that you aren't in love with me."
She turned around when he went on. "I know you love me, but that's not the same thing. I love Kings and Emm, but I'm not exactly having this conversation with them. I just need to know what you feel for me; the rest can wait, because no matter what you keep saying, you're the one who needs everything planned and mapped out. I'm perfectly fine with just going along with whatever you want."
