"Nah, it's just a spell. You might have missed it," he said, grinning.
"Is it? You might not make the right choice at eighteen, but you get experience. This is why we don't marry off girls at eighteen anymore. You could have had your fling with your boy, had fun, and then when you saw that the boy wasn't for you, you move on to someone better," he said. "So I don't think either was the good choice."
Stephen nodded. "I can agree on that point, as long as those traditions aren't stagnant. Life changes and traditions must adapt or we'll go the way of the dinosaurs. It's a delicate balance."
The moment he kissed her, he knew that it had been a bad idea, and his hand went for his wand, just in case. He stared at her, not moving, and when she spoke, he simply nodded.
