Stephen sighed. "I know it was common, and I know it was what every good family did, but I still find it barbaric, because they treated you like you were incapable of making your own choices. I had a sister - your age - she was killed by Voldemort, but I can't imagine Charlotte ever letting anyone tell her what to do." He smiled at her. "I hope you get to feel all of that, because it's what makes life worth living."
He nodded. "I do think that tradition are important. The immunity goes both ways. The education will apply to Muggleborn, but not half-bloods. I don't know I don't think I'm better, but I know some of the things I represent are better."
