"I didn't say that you didn't, just that it seemed a strange time to start." Of course, when Remus said about communicating, it made a little more sense, even though it wasn't something that would have crossed his mind at the moment.
"You could have saved yourself the trouble, if you had asked, because we have the tapestry with the family tree, and there's no such thing in our history. Men do not get married to other men. It wasn't just frowned up; it was illegal and it would have gotten you killed, and not just disowned," he said.
Regulus looked at Remus, impressed by what he was hearing. "I don't think Sirius is aware of any of this. In fact, I don't think Sirius has made any other decisions other than deciding that he wanted children."
He took a moment, trying to sort everything that he was hearing. "In order, one, we'd have to find a magical way, because there is no way that I would use Muggles. No child of mine will be conceived by Muggles; that much is certain. Two, by Healer, you mean Nott, don't you? He seems bright enough but this is insane."
He stopped a moment, trying to figure things out. "Three, assuming that this can be done relatively quickly, which seems unlikely, there are still the legalities to deal with. How soon do you think it would be done? James might want to, but you're assuming that Sirius wants too. Sirius doesn't always mean what he says. Four, even assuming that all the stars align and everything is achieved, it's not exactly traditional, is it?"
Regulus shook his head. "No, you haven't lost me, but this sounds like it's years in the making."
