Alastor snorted. Stretched thin was an understatement. But, if someone had to be sent, better it was the Order and that was Dumbledore's call.
"I'll see what can be arranged." Nodding, he stepped away from Potter. But, Alastor did not go off in search of Dumbledore. Nor did he take the time there to wonder or argue over why two generals didn't communicate directly. He did exactly what McKinnon likely had if she sent messages to Potter and Dumbledore -- fire-message:
Presume you received McKinnon's missive. Aurors needed here. Potter inquiring if Order will investigate other targets.
Then he put his attention back to the more immediate dangers in front of them. Dumbledore would respond to him or Potter no matter where they were and there was other work to do.
