She took a deep breath, because yelling at each other was not going to help either one of them or the discussion at hand. "All right, you needed time, but now you said that you wanted to talk. Does it mean that you're ready or do you want wait some more? And if you want to wait, is there anything you want to ask me in the meantime?"
Marlene squeezed his arm, smiling. "I know it matters, Alastor, but sometimes figuring that out is easier if done together. You had to know, does that mean that you know now?"
She didn't know why everyone was so difficult when the both seem to want the same thing. Stepping closer again, she put a hand on his shoulder. "I would never expect you to turn Dumbledore down. We're spent our lives fighting Voldemort, and we will continue to do so. You did what you had to do, and I more than understand.
"You listen to me, now. When I said that I wouldn't work in the division under you, it was because I didn't want to ruin our relationship over work, but the Order is different," she said with conviction. "The Order will not come between us, and you- you will do what's necessary for the Order, regardless of whether we are together or not, because you are too honourable to do anything else. It'll be hard on both of us, no matter what we decide to do, because, love, as you said those feelings are there whether we act on them or not, but we will also do what's right, and before you bitch because I'm too sure of myself, I'm only sure because I know you."
