Dylan smirked, chuckling at her. "Look at it from the bright side, if you hadn't heard them I might have got the flat and you would have discovered it when something crawled up the leg of your trousers instead," he teased, slipping his hand under the table and doing a crawling motion on her leg.
"I'm not sure," he said. "I need to look at the safety options for both, and the deals I can make." He shrugged, then smiled. "I'll keep you updated," he said with a smirk. Taking a bite of his food, he hesitated for a moment, but he knew it wasn't fair of him to just ignore what had happened. Not that he minded ignoring things. Ignoring things were great, but he knew she was thinking about it.
He swallowed down the food with a sip of beer, putting the glass down before turning back to her. "You can ask, you know," he said. "If you want to know. It's not some big secret or anything, just- bad memories I suppose."
