RP: Marly and Alastor Who: Marly and Alastor Where: the farmhouse When: 6 April, 2025 Rating/Warnings: Summary: Marly has time to think things over and she knows better than to wait for Alastor to bring things up.
Marlene liked to take time to think things over. She wasn't as impulsive as people made Gryffindors out to be, but thinking about the same thing for thirty-six hours was more than enough. She also knew that Alastor was a Ravenclaw and he could think things through for forever and a day. That was especially true when it wasn't work relaed and there were no deadlines, so once again it was up to her to bring things up.
She waited until they were back home, had dinner, and were finally alone. Not that she would have cared about having people present, but Alastor was strange that way. For a moment, she wondered if she should put a privacy spell up, but she didn't think they'd argue loud enough for others to hear them.
Finally, ready for bed, she climbed up and pushed down the book he was reading. "Did you know that Emm thinks we're in love? It seems that everyone thinks we're in love. I still have to ask the house elf, but I'm sure he'd tell me the same bloody thing. However, I did assure her that we aren't in love, because once I started thinking about it, it made no sense. People are in love, they get together, they fight, they break up, they start all over again. We aren't that. I can't imagine my life without you, and from the way you scared Emm, you weren't doing so hot without me, which means that we aren't in love; we're soulmates."
